Introduction

History and Mission

Cheasim Kamchaymear University, initially named Veth Moha Ruessey University, is the first provincial university located in the northeastern region of Cambodia. It was established in 1993 under a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports, and the Australian aid fund for Cambodia.

The university was founded under the initiative of prominent figures and high-ranking officials, including Samdech Akka Moha Thamma Pothisal Chea Sim and Samdech Krolahom Sar Kheng. The university is committed to long-term vision and has a rich history, aiming to develop human resources and provide opportunities for students from rural areas who have completed secondary education to pursue higher education.
